Chinese Medicine considers many aspects of an individual - their body, constitution, personality, organ relationships and health, even the influencing aspects of the season and environment. The scope of Traditional Chinese Medicine includes Tui Na (Chinese Massage), Shi Liao (TCM Dietary Therapy), Gua Sha, Cupping, and Moxibustion. Keely is accredited in Acusculpting ®, a specialized cosmetic acupuncture system and certified in herbal medicine.

Registered Acupuncturist = Direct billing is available with most primary insurance providers

TCM = Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Education & Qualifications

Keely Briggs completed her Diploma of Acupuncture in Traditional Chinese Medicine studies and certificate of Herbalism in Phytotherapy graduating from Pacific Rim College of Complementary and Integrative Medicine in Lekwungen territory, Victoria, BC in 2020.

She has completed additional studies and obtained her certificate in Cosmetic Acupuncture Sculpting, Cupping Therapeutic Services and Gua Sha for facials and bodywork, offering direct billing with most major insurance providers.

Keely is board certified and regulated at a federal level with successful completion of the Pan-Canadian theoretical, clinical, legal and safety examinations. Often working with trigger point release for pain management while analyzing symptoms with Traditional Chinese Medicine theory targeting emotional well-being and internal medicine. This holistic approach to the body is what Traditional Chinese Medicine is all about.

  • Successful completion of the National regulatory Board Certified Acupuncture, Safety and Jurisprudence Exams (Pan-Canadians) completion in April 2021

    The Pan-Canadian Examinations assess occupational competencies of entry-level TCM professionals that are required for safe, competent, and ethical practice. The Pan-Canadian Examinations are administered by the Canadian Alliance of Regulatory Bodies of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists (CARB-TCMPA). (CTCMPAO)

    Acupuncture is not currently regulated in New Brunswick, Federally, acupuncture services in Canada are regulated, however on a provincial level, those requirements greatly differ.

    Keely is a part of MARA (Maritime Association of Registered Acupuncturists), CTCMPAO (Ontario regulated Acupuncturists), and CTCMA (British Columbia Acupuncturists).

  • Diploma of Acupuncture - This program explored theoretical and clinical concepts of Traditional Chinese Medicine, its philosophies, diagnostic principles and therapeutic techniques. Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine classes were supported with Biomedical Western studies such as Pharmacology, Pathophysiology and Western Medical Diagnosis, etc. Training includes modalities within our scope of practice such as Gua Sha, Cupping, Tui Na (Chinese Massage), Shi Lao (TCM dietary therapy), and Qi Gong movement therapies.

    Clinical Training: 560 hours
