What to expect in our Acupuncture treatments

We will thoroughly discuss the course of treatment, your intake forms and any relevant medical conditions. Your full medical consultation and intake can take up to 15 minutes, sometimes more! Let’s get to know each other! Your voice matters here, your pain is relevant and your history is important to me. TCM is a holistic medicine, and your symptoms, no matter how broad, are all connected!

I will always step out of the treatment space as you get prepared yourself, at this time - you melt into the table and I’ve stepped away briefly to create your unique and individualized treatment plan. This medicine is built upon syndrome differentiation - your intake allows me to pinpoint specific symptoms, creating a more effective treatment.

You never need to disrobe entirely, we will use draping and coverage to ensure your comfort during the process. Before needling begins, you will receive the entire dialogue on how certain points should feel and the sensations that may arise.

Your treatment may include needles and other TCM modalities, such as Gua She, Cupping, Tui Na (massage) and more - as indicated. Your treatment diagnosis may include facial, tongue and pulse analysis. At times we discuss recommendations, treatment plans, prognosis and follow up. I do not take lightly that you, as a Patient, are sharing yourselves with me. My job is to facilitate the treatment, you are the Boss in the room. At any time you may ask questions, articulate concerns or stop treatment. Your comfort and health is a priority.

If you’re interested in learning more about our Acupuncture treatments, please contact me or book an appointment. I look forward to hearing from you.
